Aaron Licht takes us on a tour of the new enclosures.

German manufacturer be quiet! has been responsible for some of our favourite PC enclosures in recent years, and for fans of the Silent Base series, there's good news as refreshed models are in the pipeline for later this year.

Shown off at Computex in prototype form, the Silent Base 601 and Silent Base 801 build on the foundations of the ageing 600- and 800-series counterparts with a wave of upgrades. The highlights include higher quality construction with solid metal front fascia, quick-release side panels, vertical GPU mounting options and improved sound-dampening throughout.

The enclosures are set to land at retail in Q3 and Q4, respectively, so in the meantime check out the video overview above.

Lovely! Had my eye on the 600 for my next build, so I'm glad to hear it's getting an upgrade.
I was hoping to use the 801 for a rebuild of my main PC and everything was sounding good until I heard the fatal “available Q42018”.
Aargh!
I want one now. :-(
