Akasa GreenPower 500W in detail

The Akasa GreenPower isn't green: it's the gunmetal grey we've come to expect from its stable. To keep the noise down it uses a singe 120mm fan, spinning at low RPM.

Additionally, the supply isn't modular, which means all of the wires are permanently attached. You'll need to find space to tuck unused wires out of the way in your case. On a more positive note, all the cable runs are fully sheathed, so when you route your cables around the chassis they'll collect less dust and just look altogether better than the multicoloured spaghetti you see on many PSUs.

Akasa also includes three Velcro straps, which match the black sheathing on the cables. More importantly they put less stress on the cables than normal cable ties and are simple to readjust. Three isn't a lot, when you get down to serious cable routing, but it'll certainly help with any unwieldy bundles of cable.

You also get a fully-moulded three-pin power cable, which is essential for UK regulations, and a pack of screws to mount the PSU.
