Bundle

Before we talk about the bundle, here's a few pictures of what you get.

Bundle

6-pin powered and 4-pin unpowered FireWire ports

Besides the board you get a fair amount, the most notable items include the extra 2 USB2.0 ports and game port backplate, the FireWire 400 ports (6-pin powered port and a fairly useless 4-pin unpowered port, I wish they'd just bundle a convertor for this at the very very most) and the red Serial ATA cables.

Unlike ASUS' latest Intel offerings, the parallel ATA cables are the regular unbranded beige variety. It would have been nice to see the logo'd black versions from their Canterwood and Springdale Deluxe releases.

That's about it as far as the bundle goes. Of course you get that massively full featured motherboard, the stuff described above, the driver CD that covers all hardware bases and bundles a few utilities too and finally one of the better manuals that ships with a motherboard these days.

It's easy to read, easy to find the information you need and it's translated well. The added Quick Start card is a welcome bonus.

Finally it's all wrapped up in a fairly snazzy box. It'd stand out on a shelf of recent motherboard boxes at least.

So you've taken it out of the box for a look, what's the layout like?
