Asus bundle and presentation

Very slick and shiny. Another box to tip the scales on the wrong side of 2KG.

The label on the side of the box spells out all the pertinent features. There's not much more one could include, really.

Asus-branded cables are a nice touch. A well-written main manual delineates the finer points of motherboard installation and operation, all in easy-to-understand English. I felt as if a more in-depth look at setting up various RAID formations was warranted, perhaps, like MSI, in a separate booklet. Two S-ATA cables (without power cables), a custom I/O shield and a Intervideo software package (WinDVD 2000, WinCoder, WinRip, and WinProducer) round up the P4C800's bundle. The driver CD, obviously, has all the necessary drivers and utilities. It's a shame that Asus didn't bundle further USB2.0 and Firewire cables or, for that matter, a dedicated sound bracket. The Deluxe moniker of this board deserved those add-ons. There's little point in specifying numerous USB2.0 and Firewire ports if only a few are going to be usable, we feel.
