Bundle, presentation and warranty

The new eye-catching iChiLL packaging does stand out, yes sir.

Items Driver and manual CD
Printed user manual
RACE: WTCC (complete game, DVD)
2 x DVI dongles
1 x PEG-to-Molex power connector
HDTV-Out (component) cable
S-Video-to-composite adapter cable

We appreciate the fact that Inno3D has included a full, decent game in the form of RACE: The WTCC game.

The hardware bundle may be generic but it does have all the bases covered. 2 DVI dongles are a nice touch; too many partners skimp on what should be mandatory inclusions in the bundle.

Warranty considerations

Regular Inno3D cards are backed up by a 2-year warranty. The iChiLL series, though, is supported by 3-year cover that begins on the date of sale. We like the fact that the warranty is transferrable, should the card be sold on during the time it's covered.

RMA claims are handled exclusively by the (r)etailer the card was purchased from, and, as such, the speed of replacement is entirely down to just how good the vendor's customer service is; the faulty card will need to go back to Inno3D's H.Q in Hong Kong.

As always, and perhaps even more important in this case, only buy from companies you trust to support you after your money is taken and the card initially delivered.

Pre-benchmark thoughts

Inno3D isn't the first partner to launch a fanless and overclocked GeForce 7950GT. XFX has four models in its range, split over pairs with 256MiB/512MiB framebuffers.

Even if the adaptation of the SKU is nothing new, Inno3D's effort is sound from a technical viewpoint. Let's now see how it benchmarks.
