Overclocking
Rather than the play the GPU lottery and push samples to their absolute limit, we're keeping things consistent between recent GeForce cards by using Precision X1's built-in Scanner Tool to help determine an optimal frequency curve.
Boost clock climbed to 1,920MHz, but it's clear that memory becomes a bottleneck at higher resolutions, as overclocking the frame buffer is what really helped increase performance. Our sample was able to shift from 8Gbps to 10Gbps.
With the core and memory both overclocked, we see a decent in-game performance boost of up to 10 per cent. Not bad at all, and not a million miles from a stock GTX 1660 Ti.
