Rear panel

Around the back, the layout is pretty standard and with surprisingly few cost-cutting measures applied. Most noticeable, though, is that the top panel has been fixed in place with rivets.

However, whereas some case have their side panels held in place by standard screws - or use thumbscrews only for the panel that gives access to the top side of the motherboard - the Triton has thumbscrews for both panels.

Another nice surprise was that a rear fan comes ready fitted. This is another Gigabyte-branded 120mm model and even has rubber vibration-dampening mounts.

That little extra is very welcome - especially given the price of the case. However, it also leads us to wonder why the fan at the front has no such mounts - isn't Gigabyte equally concerned about vibrations there?

Also good to see are the two water-cooling holes, pre-fitted with rubber grommets. These are a relatively inexpensive additions - and ever more common - but welcome nonetheless.

What you also notice looking at the rear is that the expansion slots use a removable clip system, rather than screws. The blanking plates for the slots are re-usable and come in a nice-looking highly-polished finish, rather than the still-common - and ugly-looking - matt grey.
