Side and round the back

As previously mentioned, the side panel is a mix of steel, mesh and perspex, the latter two are secured to the side panel using plastic rivets. A positive aspect about the window is that is sits in its own recess, hence the side of the 900 has a fairly flat profile.

The chassis itself is almost square, although its side profile doesn’t really show this off too clearly. The top of the chassis is fitted with a moulded black plastic shell to accommodate the ‘not-so-secret’ weapon, but more on that later.

Round the back, in traditional Antec style, we have the PSU situated at the bottom with everything else shifted up. The vented blanking plates sit alongside a pre-stamped ventilation grid, above which is a single 120mm blue-LED fan.

Both side panels on the 900 are secured in place with colour-coordinated black thumbscrews, although they are a little on the small side. In saying that, fitting some of the components in a 900 does require both side panels to be removed. A slight annoyance.
