From the front
Resembling the front of the iconic, as far as Cooler Master’s history is concerned, Wave Master, the iTower 930 features an aluminium and ABS plastic front. A screen-printed Cooler Master logo adorns the top left of the fixed-hinged door.
At 16kg empty, this heavyweight only features aluminium up front, the rest of its 470mm (H) x 215.5mm (W) x 430 mm (D) bulk is fabricated from 0.8mm gauge SECC steel.
With an estimated RRP of £89 it’s not cheap either – especially when there are other aluminium-based systems on the market for similar money.
The middle of the door is where the chassis starts to differentiate itself from the norm, with the front panel accessible through a cut-out in the door. The usual suspects are all here, with the standard power and reset buttons, single FireWire, four USB 2.0 ports, mic and headphone ports, respectively.
The black plastic cover on the front is a secondary door, giving direct access to the pre-fitted HDD caddies, but more on them later.
Overall then, the front is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, with clean lines and a high-quality finish.
