A-DATA is ploughing forward with its XPG range, but the gamer-orientated line-up has today been added to with something a little more conservative - the XPG G Series DDR2-800G SO-DIMM memory modules.

The notebook memory, pictured below, operates at 800MHz with latencies at 5-5-5-15, but is tested to do so at lower-than-usual voltages of 1.6V and 1.7V. An ideal addition, then, to systems such as netbooks that tout low-power operation and greater battery life.

The XPG G Series DDR2-800G SO-DIMM kits will be available in a 1GB/2GB single-module pack, or a 2GB/4GB dual-module pack. They are, of course, backward compatible with DDR2 667MHz and 533MHz, and they're backed by A-DATA's limited lifetime warranty.
