Over to the array of PCI slots and there's plenty to choose from. Eclipse provides three PCIe 2.0 x16 slots (two x16 in black and one x4 in blue), two PCIe 2.0 x1 slots, and a pair of standard PCI slots. There's support for ATI CrossFireX and NVIDIA SLI, and adequate room for at least two dual-slot high-end GPUs.

One of the aforementioned PCIe x1 slots can be occupied by MSI's bundled audio add-on of choice - a Creative X-FI that provides support for 7.1 audio and EAX Advanced HD.

To the right of the PCI slots are a selection of switches including power and reset buttons, a D-LED 2 controller, and a dip-switch to provide easy-access overclocking.

Come around to the back and you'll find a well-equipped I/O panel that provides PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports, four USB ports, FireWire, two eSATA ports, a clear CMOS button, dual-Gigabit Ethernet and a further four USB ports.

Sounds rather good, doesn't it? Stay tuned for our forthcoming review.

If MSI stick to their usual competitive pricing they could be on for a hell of a winner here.
