HP and New York-based designer Vivienne Tam have teamed up once again to introduce the latest computer system designed for fashionistas.

It's dubbed the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition, and as the name suggests, it's HP's Mini 210 netbook given a girly “Butterfly Lovers” makeover.

HP reckons this is the next "must-have accessory", adding that at around 1.2kg in weight and under an inch thick, it'll fit easily into your handbag.

If that sounds like a feature requirement, the inner workings of the netbooks probably won't matter, but just in case you're interested, the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition sports a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor, integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 2GB of DDR2 memory, a 320GB hard-disk drive and a built-in webcam. Connectivity options include Wireless N, Ethernet, VGA out and a trio of USB 2.0 ports.

The system's 10.1in display offers a 1,024x600 resolution, and the standard three-cell battery is said to provide up to five-and-a-half hours usage from a single charge.

More importantly, the system comes bundled with a Butterfly Lovers desktop theme - including an "animated butterfly start menu, custom Vivienne Tam icons and three wallpapers to coordinate with the design".

Microsoft's Windows 7 Home Premium operating system features as standard, and get this - an exclusive app allows for the webcam to be used as a mirror. Perfect for fixing your make up and checking your email all at once, perhaps?

Rounding off the features, the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition is also the only non-Envy HP product to be spruced up by Beats by Dr. Dre audio software, which apparently lets users experience music "the way artists intended".

There's no mention of UK availability yet, but US consumers can place pre-orders now at a cost of $599, with availability expected on March 19. If you're thinking of spoiling a special lady, why not go all out and get the optional Butterfly Lovers HP Wireless Mouse, too? That'll be available on the same day priced at $39.99.
