Do you recognise the brand?

The answer is probably no. The ZOTAC brand is the retail incarnation of PC Partner's desire to infiltrate the channel market.

PC Partner happens to be one of the biggest contract manufacturers for AMD/ATI cards, with the collaboration dating back almost a decade. Recently, it has been producing OEM designs for a wide range of NVIDIA-based cards, too.

Leveraging its production expertise, which amounts to around 9m units a year, and skill in designing custom cooling solutions for a number of its customers, PC Partner is now turning to the retail channel for exposure, with cards marketed under the ZOTAC banner.

The first set of retail NVIDIA graphics cards will be available in a few weeks' time. They'll initially be based largely on reference designs, as you see above, but, ZOTAC promises, we'll see some truly innovative cooling on its next iteration of SKUs. For G86 and G84, perhaps.

There's now another NVIDIA partner that's joined the long list of partners. We'll have to see if the ZOTAC brand can be marketed well enough to make serious inroads in to the lucrative retail and S.I. markets.
