At next month's Games Convention, held in Leipzig, Germany, Cooler Master will unveil its CM Storm product range.

Not a whole lot is known about the brand, but Cooler Master tells us that it's a result of long-standing research programs. CM Storm is said to be co-developed with the world's most prolific enthusiasts and eSport prodigies, and has its sights set on wowing the gaming audience.

The new products won't actually launch until late 2008, but gamers will be given a sneak peak at Cooler Master's "Storm Sniper" chassis prototype during next month's Games Convention. Those who won't be attending the event, and want to know what CM Storm is all about, can follow Cooler Master's unveiling at the Cooler Master GC Microsite.

The event, held in conjunction with KODE5, will also see four gaming teams battling it out in an invitation-only contest. Coinciding with that contest will be an online promotion in which EU residents can choose their favourite team, leave a message and subsequently enter a prize draw. It's all a bit confusing, but head on over to the microsite if you're interested.

We usually pass up any such hype until we've seen the product for ourselves, but this tasty piece of over-the-top marketing blurb just can't go ignored:

By working directly with the gaming community, CM Storm has injected Storm Tactics into each and every product we make. Storm Tactics, with a heavily dedicated focus on Strength, Security and Control, will keep your most vital gear fortified and well tuned at all times. As 2008 marks a new era for Cooler Master, its fierce Storm Gear stands ready at bay to mobilise and back up your gaming skills.

Storm Tactics to help back-up your gaming skills, what more could anybody want?

I wonder if we're talking tacky ‘gaming’ cases or overpriced branded peripherals here?
