Amsterdam, 21 May 2013 - Developed by gamers for gamers: display specialist AOC launches a brand-new 61 cm (24″) Full HD monitor for the ultimate viewing experience in gaming. The g2460Pqu was first presented at this year's CeBIT. It boasts a 144 Hz refresh rate and the ultra-short pixel response time of one millisecond, providing a lag-free, real-time gaming experience. Exemplary equipment concerning connectors and ergonomics leaves nothing to wish for - even for the demanding gamer community.
Expert know-how
The "g" in the model's name refers to its positioning as display specifically designed for gamers. AOC has directly incorporated feedback from co-operation partners and e-sports experts Team Infused into the development of this top-notch product. The latest member to join the 60ID product line comes with a state-of-the-art TN panel, allowing for the extremely short response time of just one millisecond for richly detailed, extra-clear and crisp images without ghosting effects. In addition, the g2460Pqu refreshes the picture up to 144 times per second, more than doubling the standard rate of 60 Hz and delivering super-smooth pictures finally no more screen tearing! The 144 Hz refresh rate does not only minimise eye fatigue, but also provides the user with decisive advantages such as a reduced input lag as well as more frames per second. This especially comes in handy when playing first-person shooters, when enemy movements need to be detected rapidly and clearly. In order to enhance the performance in different game types, AOC has equipped the g2460Pqu with a specialised, customisable on-screen display.
Full set of connectors
The Full HD model displays signals via a full set of connectors (VGA, dual link DVI, HDCP-compatible HDMI as well as a DisplayPort). For a new level of user-friendliness, the g2460Pqu also features an integrated USB hub with 4 connectors (two of them in the USB standard 3.0), including a fast-charge USB port for mobile devices. Besides a headphone output, AOC also decks out its new Professional line member with integrated speakers.
Perfect ergonomics and robustness
Next to 130 mm height adjustability, the tiltable monitor also offers swivel and pivot function, which allows turning the panel by 90° and bringing it into portrait format within seconds. This enjoyable ergonomic flexibility is complemented by the possibility to wallmount the monitor. AOC employs an extra-durable casing material for ease of mind whilst transporting the monitor to and from events.
Green tech
Utilising the latest in LED backlights, the g2460Pqu is highly energy-efficient. With a consumption of only 25 watts in standard mode (and just half a watt in stand-by), it easily fulfils regulations such as Energy Star 5.0 or TCO 5.0.The g2460Pqu is produced entirely mercury-free, thus qualifying it for EPEAT Gold and other demanding certificates.
Intelligent software
AOC equips the g2460Pqu with a multitude of software solutions. With i-Care, the monitor adapts its brightness to the ambient light, allowing for a convenient viewing experience as well as for reduced power consumption. Eco Mode provides five individual display settings (Text, Internet, Game, Movie & Sport) to meet different viewing conditions, whilst e-Saver allows users to set a low power configuration for when the PC is On, Off and in sleep or screen saver modes. The time when a monitor switches off after inactivity can also be set with this program reducing power consumption even further. i-Menu allows for the monitor settings to be conveniently changed via the mouse. The Screen+ software divides the large 24″ desktop into different practical panes, which are accessible through shortcuts.
The g2460Pqu is now available for an RRP of GBP 249 (VAT included). As for all models, AOC offers a 3 year warranty on the monitor.
