Dorsten, 21 June 2012 - With the 60ID series, AOC introduces a display product family designed for standard applications in the office and at home. Whether for office purposes, multimedia or gaming: the 60ID series handles all common applications easily and makes a good figure at every workstation with its textured and slim casings. Their features allow companies to respond to individual requirements of different working environments. At the same time, the 60ID displays blend into almost every open-plan office, thanks to their discreet and uniform design - finally an end to the messy appearance a multitude of different looking monitors can evoke.
Sizes and formats
The displays boast the latest LED technology and offer screen sizes ranging from 48.1 cm (19") up to 60.9 cm (24"). The models with a classic matte black finish also feature different aspect ratios: Beside the standard 16:9 wide screen format, a 16:10 format brings benefits in size that come in handy especially in the office.
Strong performance, small consumption
As a result of a 250 cd/m² brightness, a static contrast of 1000:1 (dynamic: 20,000,000:1) and response times between 2 ms and 5 ms (GtG), all members of the 60ID family provide lively and exceedingly sharp images. Thanks to the modern LED technology, the models are not only very slim, but also extremely energy efficient in standard operation: Depending on their size, they only use between 26 and 42 watts. Intelligent operation modes help to further reduce energy consumption: In stand-by mode, it even drops to less than half a watt. The 60ID models meet the requirements of strict environmental certificates, such as EPEAT Gold or TCO 5.0.
The right display for every purpose
The whole 60ID series comes with tilt function. Depending on the model, they also offer height adjustment, swivel and pivot, which allow rotating the monitor from landscape into portrait mode within seconds. The resolutions range from 1440 x 990 pixels for office use up to Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) for a native presentation of high resolution picture or video signals. Some types are equipped with USB hubs with four USB 2.0 ports each, allowing an easy connection to flash drives, hard drives and digital cameras. Digital DVI-D and HDMI ports complete the connectivity options of selected models.
Smart features
Every 60ID display is HDCP compatible, fulfils VESA wall mount standards and is supplied with integrated speakers and a safety slot for Kensington locks. The clever i-Care software increases viewing comfort and saves energy at the same time: A sensor measures the ambient light and adjusts the intensity of the LED backlight automatically. With Ionic Breeze, AOC furthermore presents an integrated high-voltage ioniser for purifying the air at the workplace.
The 60ID monitors are expected to be available from June 2012. Recommended retail prices will start from 111 £.
