MateBook X Pro 2020

New flagship Ultra FullView notebook redefines mobile intelligence and interconnectivity, delivers a new borderless experience to consumers

The Breathtaking Ultra FullView Experience

The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is made for jet-setting business users and professional content creators, power users that pursue—or demand—a high quality of life. On the outside, the new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro features a CNC machined metallic unibody with a premium sandblasted finish that gives the exterior a smooth hand-feel. Huawei’s latest flagship notebook is superbly portable; it is only 14.6mm thick and weighs 1.33kg[1], making it the perfect device for any professional who values mobility and productivity.

Leveraging leading industrial design capabilities, Huawei created the Ultra FullView display. With slim bezels on all sides, the Ultra FullView display achieves an impressive 91 percent screen-to-body ratio[2] on the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro. Better yet, Huawei boldly adopts an unconventional 3:2 aspect ratio for the display, which is much more suited for productivity and content creation compared to mainstream widescreens.

The Ultra FullView display is a 13.9-inch LTPS panel supporting up to a 3K resolution (3000x2000) and 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut. The rich colors and 3K resolution help bring content to life, providing a more immersive entertainment experience than ever before. Additionally, it supports 10-point multi-touch and Fingers Gesture Screenshot[3] to give users a new and more intuitive way to interface with their devices.

Ultimate Performance Drives Maximum Productivity

HUAWEI MateBook X Pro embodies the latest notebook innovation. Inside the lightweight and portable new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is uncompromised performance with the 10th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-10510U and i5-10210U. Equipped with NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 running on 2GB GDDR5, the new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro delivers a smooth experience in every scenario from graphic and video editing, to gaming and multimedia content consumption. For cooling, the latest flagship notebook houses an intelligent cooling system that dynamically switches between active and passive modes for efficient and silent cooling performance, while the two HUAWEI Shark Fin Fans 2.0 feature larger fins to produce a higher air output. The new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro also features an intelligent filtering technology that provides real-time system temperature monitoring, giving the notebook a smoother fan curve, which ultimately leads to quieter operations.

Besides being a powerful productivity enabler, the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro features the quad speakers, bringing exceptional sound experience with breathtaking, moving audio that flows above and around you. You’ll feel like you’re just inside the action while enjoying mobile entertainment on the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro in your leisure time.

Plus, the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro packs a massive 56Wh[4] battery. Coupled with Huawei’s proprietary power-saving modes, users can enjoy all-day battery life, untethered by any power cable.

Meanwhile, the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro comes with a 65 W Type-C portable adapter which can be used with a range of charging outputs. As well as using the power adapter to charge your laptop, it supports HUAWEI SuperCharge for certain phones[5]. With this power adapter, you can quickly charge wherever you are.

Travelers will be delighted to know that the new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro supports world’s fastest Wi-Fi on a notebook, which allows it to get better signal reception and provide more stable connectivity than ever before. Bluetooth 5.0 on the latest flagship MateBook has quicker data transmission speeds with wider signal coverage and stronger broadcasting capabilities over its previous iteration. This means the new notebook can be connected from a longer distance, with more stable signals.

All-Scenario Intelligent Interconnectivity: Huawei Share

Laptops in the future will be more intelligent, more efficient, and more connected. We're helping to drive the future with new innovations, which caters for all scenarios and delivers an interactive experience that seamlessly incorporates your laptop and your phone. We're also fitting our devices with Multi-screen Collaboration[6], a function of Huawei Share.

The significance of Multi-screen Collaboration lies not only in enabling file transfer between the laptop and smartphone, but also in making seamless collaboration between the laptop and smartphone comes true. That is to say, by building on powerful processing capability and the basic system capabilities of the MateBook, Huawei was able to clear the obstacle between the basic architecture of Windows and Android systems, realising the full potential of seamlessly connecting the two. At the same time, laptop accessories such as the keyboard, camera, microphone and mouse can now be used as peripherals of your smartphone, providing a more convenient user experience. The laptop is then able to share more advanced office applications with your phone to uncover a brand-new office experience that includes your phone, for a much more secure and convenient office environment.

As a pioneer in smart device innovation, Huawei applies its technological expertise on its HUAWEI MateBook X Pro to deliver the best user experience. First-in-industry technologies like the Fingerprint Power Button and recessed camera provide a convenient, one-of-a-kind experience. The former lets users quickly authenticate their identity on power up, and the latter protects user privacy while maximising the display area.

Huawei remains committed to the high-end notebook market and delivering the all-scenario experience. Moving forward, Huawei will continue to integrate its leading smartphone innovations into its PC products, with an aim to further enhance the user experience and let more consumers enjoy the craftsmanship, innovation and smart technologies that characterise its flagship products.

“Notebooks are one of the primary screens that play a major role in our all-scenario strategy. The Ultra-Slim FullView Screen

Ultra-light notebooks are extremely popular. The HUAWEI MateBook 13 takes the HUAWEI FullView design to the next level with an industry-leading screen-to-body ratio of 88 percent[10]. With side bezels measuring at 4.4mm[11], the HUAWEI MateBook houses a large display with its small form factor to retain its portability. Unlike most 16:9 laptops on the market, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 has a 3:2 display, allowing display more content for the convenience of the user.

The resolution of the display on a notebook plays a key role in delivering a quality user experience. Therefore, a high-resolution display has been a staple of Huawei’s notebooks since the very beginning. The HUAWEI MateBook 13 features a 2K display (2160x1440 at 200ppi) with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and supports 100 percent of the RGB color gamut[12]. It can display vivid details for users when viewing HD pictures or playing Blu-Ray discs and is more than capable of displaying images and videos with speed and accuracy.

A 2K HUAWEI FullView Display with Multi-touch is also available as an option on the HUAWEI MateBook 13. The display not only tracks multiple touch inputs with high precision but supports Fingers Gesture Screenshot[13] as well. By performing a three-finger downward swipe, users can quickly capture and save a screenshot.

HUAWEI MateBook 13 features a metallic, minimalist design. The edges are smoothly curved with aluminum chamfers cut with CNC diamond cutting. At only 286 x 211 x 14.9mm and about 1.3kg[14], HUAWEI MateBook 13 is in the ideal size and weight for users who are always on the go.

Exceptional Hardware Delivering Stable and Powerful Performance

Targeting young professionals, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 is a lightweight notebook featuring FullView display and high-quality performance, bringing users a convenient and productive experience in a stylish package.

In terms of performance, the top-end HUAWEI MateBook 13 is powered by 10th Generation Intel® Core™ processor. As well as upgrading the processor, Huawei equipped the HUAWEI MateBook 13 with up to 16 GB dual channel RAM.  It also has a high-speed PCIe SSD, allowing creative individuals to express themselves without the burden of slow read or write speeds. Additionally, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 packs up to NVIDIA® GeForce® MX 250 with 2GB of GDDR5. This GPU provides all the graphics processing power to support image and video editing tasks, as well as entertainment experiences.

The operating performance of notebooks is highly correlated to their thermal performance—powerful devices tend to run hotter than their slower counterparts. HUAWEI MateBook 13 adopts the HUAWEI Shark Fin Design 2.0 for its cooling system. Inspired by its namesake, the solution uses high-speed fans to generate a high airflow for maximum thermal performance. In addition, the Intelligent Filtering solution monitors temperature change in real time and ensures stable performance. Furthermore, the system provides maximum cooling performance with no worry about noise.

The Ultimate User Experience

Laptops in the future will be more intelligent, more efficient, and more connected. We're helping to drive the future with new innovations, which caters for all scenarios and delivers an interactive experience that seamlessly incorporates your laptop and your phone. We're also fitting our devices with Multi-screen Collaboration[15], a function of Huawei Share, which we're bringing to the HUAWEI MateBook 13.

The significance of Multi-screen Collaboration lies not only in enabling file transfer between the laptop and smartphone, but also in making seamless collaboration between the laptop and smartphone comes true. That is to say, by building on powerful processing capability and the basic system capabilities of the MateBook, Huawei was able to clear the obstacle between the basic architecture of Windows and Android systems, realizing the full potential of seamlessly connecting the two. The laptop is then able to share more advanced office applications with your phone to uncover a brand new office experience that includes your phone, for a much more secure and convenient office environment.

Today, consumers can quickly unlock their smartphones with the touch of a finger, so natural they would want to have notebooks that wakes up just as quickly. To that end, Huawei optimized boot up speeds at the BIOS level. Furthermore, the HUAWEI MateBook 13 features the Fingerprint Power Button[16] that integrates power, fingerprint verification and system sign-in into one button. This Fingerprint Power Button allows users to quickly wake up their PC and resume work without having to first re-enter their password or rescan their finger.

Business travelers usually carry several devices with them, ranging from smartphones to laptops. Typically, each of these devices comes with a different charger, creating more baggage for the users. Having separate chargers also means there is an increased chance of forgetting them. The HUAWEI MateBook 13 comes with a 65 W Type-C portable adapter which can be used with a range of charging outputs. As well as using the power adapter to charge your laptop, it supports HUAWEI SuperCharge for certain phones [17]. With this power adapter, you can quickly charge wherever you are.
