Slightly concerned that they've bothered with this release. I'd rather have seen Deneb-derived Athlons (either Dual-core with L3 cache, or multicore without L3 cache) in the sub £100 price bracket, and the fact that they've released another Kuma Athlon suggests that we won't get the 45nm parts for a while yet…

Quite, it's far too high TDP 95w for a dual core IMHO.
I was/am waiting to see what a 45nm will draw, otherwise as much as I want to support AMD, the Intel E5xxx are still the cpu of choice in that price range.
I agree that the E5xx range are great at this price point too but it's still nice to have another choice and it may suit users that have existing AMD setups they want to upgrade. The TDP is high but if it's a PC for occasional use then this should not be too much of an issue too.
