Mini P180

Think of an Antec chassis and the one that most readily comes to mind is the P180 that was superceded by the P182.

What would happen if you could shrink the chassis down somewhat and strap on a whopping great fan? The answer is the Mini P180...

Measuring 510x283x515mm (H x W x D) and sporting the same 200mm fan present on the Twelve Hundred, the Mini P180 sacrifices space for a smaller form-factor (MicroATX), but really isn't that much worse off for it. The front has a couple of 120mm intake fans (optional) and what seems like omnipresent eSATA support.

The rear has the same speed-setting switch that we saw before along with mounting for a TriCool 120mm exhaust fan.

Antec continues to use a two-chamber system to reduce the heat-inducing effects of locating a hot-running PSU in a small chassis.. We like the fact that the drive cages are modular and can be removed with the minimum of fuss - just one thumbscrew here - thereby allowing extra-long cards to fit in without having to take a hacksaw to the chassis.

As you can clearly see in the above picture. There's room for up to five hard drives, too.

The Mini P180 also carries three-layer, sound-deadening side panels to keep the noise to a minimum. We like the midget-sized chassis on first appearance.
