7 games for £40!

Graphically, the anthology is everything you would expect if you've played the game before, with fluid hand-drawn animations, colourful backgrounds and a style that faithfully re-creates the arcade game's panache.

Despite the need to get used to the new Wii control system, which does get easier with practice, Metal Slug Anthology still has great appeal on Wii. The arcade action flows, it's humorous, the animations are great, co-operative mode is a blast and there are some great in-game moments.

Metal Slug Anthology retails at around the £40 mark, which works out at just under £6 a game! By my reckoning, that's not a bad a deal if you're into classic gaming.

Pros
Classic gaming at its best
Great level design
Endearing visual style
Some great weapons

Cons
Can't use the classic controller

If you were a fan of the Metal Slug series it's a must buy title, but be prepared to get used to a brand new control system - or you could just buy the PS2 or PSP versions!

Don't get me wrong I do love it, it's still great fun. But, if I had the PS2 version sitting next to me I'd play that. I don't think there's any point trying to change something that doesn't need fixing.
No classic controller? What were they thinking? I love Metal Slug, but I'll rent it first
I might get this, I'd be interested to see how the Wavebird or wired GC controller stands up against the PS2 Dual Shock controls.
Anyone know if this is going to be out for the DS? The official site says so but can't find anywhere online that sells a ds version.
