50 Cent Bulletproof

Vivendi Universal Games have already shifted more than a million units of 50 Cent: Bulletproof and apparently it's still in high demand in U.S and U.K retail stores. The game boasts over four CDs, eight hours worth of 50 cent and G Unit music making it a must-buy for any fan. Vivendi also tell us that there are also 13 tracks that you will have never heard before as well as a 40 minute behind-the scenes video documentary with G-Unit.

50 cent himself was involved in the game's creation and the story focuses on aspects of his own life, which appears to be fillied to the brim with corruption. Set around the New York drug underworld 50 cent takes on the most dangerous crime families in the city in an attempt to uncover an international conspiracy. It's a bloody, violent game in which you'll experience numerous shoot-outs, hang out in your 'crib', visiting weapon dealers and deal out plenty of 'street' punishment.

Many of the reviews for the PS2 version of 50 Cent: Bulletproof were negative and complained of shody gameplay. It appears that Vivendi have taken note of the comments and, working alongside High Voltage software, have revised the PSP edition acccordingly. Instead of the third person perspective, PSP gamers will experience the top-down perspective which makes the control layout easier to use for handheld gamers. in the 5 minute gameplay time that we had we were impressed by the A.I and the handling of the various melee attacks. The targetting system has also been improved, firing from behind a human shield with an Uzi is far easier to pull-off than the PS2 version. Weapon changing has also been improved, you know just need to hold down the triangle button to bring up the list of available items, or tap the button to quickly switch between them.

The signature moves seen in the console versions have been updated, they're still as vicous but with over 30 new moves added you're sort of spolit for choice.

Despite the negative reviews of the console versions, the PSP version has been improved. We played an incomplete version of the PSP title but so far it's looking and playing far better than we expected.
