Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, a remake of the Xbox 360 exclusive game, Ninja Gaiden II is coming to PlayStation 3 as a downloadable game on the PlayStation Network, claims Kotaku.

The PS3 remake of Ninja Gaiden II will be handled by Team Ninja and though few details have yet been confirmed, it's believed this latest version will boast extras not seen on the Xbox 360 version, including new characters and new levels.

Though a release date has not been announced, it's believed that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is 50% complete and may be ready for release on the PlayStation Network in the Autumn, 2009.
