Dozens of movie based games planned
A new videogames publisher based in Hollywood has today announced its arrival and the news that they have $400 milliion in the pot for the development of videogames based around movie, TV and music licenses.
Brash Entertainment are currently working on more than a dozen movie-based games, including one based on the 'SAW' franchise and another based on the epic movie '300'.
The idea for Brash Entertainment was formed by Mitch Davis and Nicholas Longano, former heads of in-game advertising company Massive, and Atlanta businessman Bert Ellis, a Massive investor. All four of them have invested heavily in the company.
"The folks I do business with have been watching the space for some time, trying to figure out the right vehicle to put money in," said Tull. "It's hard to think of too many other sectors with this kind of growth, and I think there are really compelling things you can do with movie-based games."
The formation of Brash Entertainment and the company's intention to focus heavily on movie-based games will create tough competition in the industry, with the likes of Electronic Arts and THQ, who also enjoy developing their fair share of movie spin-offs, battling it to secure the biggest movie based games.
