plantain!)Over at HEXUS.blogz are write ups of some of the interesting (and daft) things that the people who bring you your daily dose of IT news and hard reviews get up to. One of the team, though, has been rather backwards in coming forwards but that changed today when Bob Crabtree - who's always claimed he's too busy to write blogs - made his first entry entitled, The trouble with kids is they're stupid but think YOU are...
Bob's premise seems to be that all kids are stupid and (it would appear) he thinks all parents are, too.
Supporting his main thesis, he instances the action of his No.1 son, who is attending one of the UK's premiere universities and must, Bob supposes, think his father is stupid.
He describes what he discovered before starting work today.
I got up, wandered into
the kitchen and found on one worksurface a small pile of plantains -
the banana-like fruit used in many African and West Indian dishes -
that I know he [No.1 son Robbie] put there when he came in in the early
hours of the morning.
Clearly that doesn't prove that No.1 son is stupid
or that he thinks his father is. What does, though,
Bob contends, is the sign that had been put in a prominent
place ON the plantain pile. This, he relates, said,
