Do something amazing today, give blood
Giving blood is probably one of the easiest things to do, yet it could save a life. HEXUS forum member Ciber has recently received a letter from the NHS thanking him for his 25th donation!
Following the letter, Ciber took the opportunity to post the following statement in our forums:
"It's just a number, but I do like to help where I can and giving blood is easy to do. In the first paragraph it also says that very few people give blood at all. So, I thought I would maybe ask who does and doesn't, just out of interest and maybe start an interesting discussion. At the same time if I can encourage a couple of you to donate that wouldn't hurt."
I'd personally like to thank Ciber for bringing this forward and to congratulate him on having donated blood on 25 occasions. Having never donated blood myself, it is something I've now looked into and will be doing at my next local blood donor session.
If Ciber has encouraged you to give blood, or reminded you to give blood once again, head over to the official National Blood Service website and find out how you can get involved and be sure to drop by our forums to join the discussion on donating blood.
