0-60 isn't too good, high risk of fire

It might not be the best performing Formula 1 car you'll ever see, but this replica McLaren F1 by matchstick-maestro Michael Arndt sure is cool.

It's the end result of six years of work and dedication - not to mention some 956,000 matchsticks and 1686 tubes of glue!

The full-scale replica can be dismantled into 45 smaller parts allowing for easy transport, to various Formula 1 circuits we guess. It cost Mr Arndt some 6000 Euros to complete, but he sure looks proud of it and rightly so - it's a beauty.

There's just something about wooden models, the wooden bicycle from Marco Facciola also looked the part, though not as tasty as Arndt's Formula 1 car. We won't be able to judge which is best though, not until they race against one another. My money is on the bike.

The new Formula 1 season kicks off in Melbourne, Australia on March 16th but we don't expect to see Michael Arndt competing.

That is crazy, well done to Mr Arndt for his dedication though :)
