CREATIVE PIONEERS NEW WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY TO DELIVER HEADPHONES WITH UNPRECEDENTED PERFORMANCE

Magnetic induction is the revolutionary technology which makes wireless headphones a practical reality for MP3 users.

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet, announces an exciting new range of headphone products. Designed to deliver uncompromising performance by incorporating ground-breaking technologies, they will be demonstrated on the Creative stand at CeBIT 2005, Stand D33, Hall 23.

“We are again challenging the market, this time by adopting magnetic induction wireless technology,” explains Leonardo Colucci, European Business Manager with Creative. “This creates a wireless ‘bubble’ around the user, reducing interference with other wireless systems and giving increased playtime up to 30 hours on a single AAA battery.

Creative headphones leverage popular personal and home entertainment systems such as MP3 players, DVD players and games consoles. Available to suit every user’s lifestyle, requirements and budget, they offer support for a variety of technologies.

Magnetic induction wireless.

Creative is pioneering the use of magnetic induction in wireless headphones. Developed for personal use by its partner, Aura, magnetic induction ensures a delay-free listening experience when streaming music from MP3 players. Zen Micro will be the first product to feature this solution, which will be integrated into a belt clip and available, with headphones, later in 2005.

Bluetooth wireless.

Bluetooth wireless support is featured in products such as CB2530 wireless headphones and the CB2500, a micro-sized solution with built-in microphone to which users can connect headphones, an MP3 player and Bluetooth mobile phone. The CB2500 automatically interrupts music playback when a call comes in on the mobile, and resumes when the call ends.

Mobile solutions.

Users of MP3 players like Creative’s Zen Micro look for a high-end, in-ear experience with maximum comfort and enhanced bass. That’s what they get with EP-630 earbuds, which combine privacy with stunning audio in a design that’s great for active users. For listeners who value easy, flexible use, there’s the innovative styling of the HQ-140, a design where the band runs around the back of the head.

Noise cancellation.

Frequent travellers need headphones that can cope with noisy environments, such as aeroplanes. The solution is HN-700 headphones, which use Active Noise Cancellation to reduce background noise.

Enhanced audio.

Users of home entertainment systems such as DVD players and games consoles want a truly ‘immersive’ audio experience with movies and games. That’s what HQ-2300D delivers with its pair of premium headphones and a portable hardware decoder that supports technologies such as Dolby Digital, DTS and Pro Logic II, plus multi-channel virtualisation with Dolby Headphone.

“This new family of headphones has something for every user, combining outstanding technology and features and brilliant audio performances at every price point,” concludes Leonardo.

NEW ZEN MICRO PHOTO MAKES EUROPEAN DEBUT AT CEBIT

Latest addition to Zen Micro range features high-intensity colour OLED display and stores images and songs.

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet, announces that its new MP3 player/photo viewer, Zen Micro Photo, will be unveiled to the European press on the Creative stand (Hall 23, Stand D33) at this year’s CeBIT, being held in Hannover from 10th to 16th March. The announcement follows the success of the MP3 player at this year’s CES (Computer Electronics Show) at Las Vegas, where it won ‘Best of CES’ in the ‘Audio to Go’ category to give Creative its third ‘Best of CES’ in a row.

Zen Micro Photo features a stunning, high-intensity 262,144-colour 1.5-inch organic LED (OLED) screen for optimum display of the JPEG images stored on its disk. Users can use Zen Micro Photo to enjoy slide shows of their favourite digital images while they listen to MP3 or WMA music. In its 6GB version, Zen Micro Photo can hold up to 7,500 JPEG images or 3,000 songs.

“The success of the original Zen Micro has been so great that it was tough to deliver an encore in such a short period of time,” says Sim Wong Hoo, chairman and CEO of Creative. “Yet we blew everyone away when we unveiled Zen Micro Photo and won the ‘Best of CES' award for the third time in a row.

“We are raising the excitement level even higher with Zen Micro Photo, which features an OLED screen for amazing image quality,” he adds.

Scheduled to ship in the second quarter of this year, Zen Micro Photo will be available in ten electrifying colours and will use the same micro-sized, ultra-stylish design as the original Zen Micro.

CREATIVE MAKES MUSIC MORE COLOURFUL!

MP3 players, speakers and accessories in a range of stylish colours to satisfy users’ tastes, aspirations and lifestyles.

On display at CeBIT, Hall 23, Stand D33.

Creative (Nasdaq: CREAF) the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer and the Internet, announces that it will be showing a range of MP3 players and speaker systems in a choice of stylish colours on the Creative stand at this year’s CeBIT. These systems emphasise the company’s focus on lifestyle needs as well as outstanding audio and technical innovation.

“The big breakthrough has been the success of Zen Micro,” explains Geraldine Lee, European Business Manager with Creative. “We found that customers really liked the idea of having a choice of 10 colours. It was easy to extend this thinking to other products.”

At CeBIT the company will present I-Trigue 3400 and Vivid speakers, as well as Zen and MuVo MP3 players, in a range of different colours.

The extended colour palette, which will also be available across other Creative products, reflects public demand for ‘fun’ in entertainment solutions. The readiness of the market for extra choice was one of the factors which helped Creative to ship 2 million MP3 players in the last quarter of 2004.

“As MP3 continues to move into the consumer electronics space, mainstream users want the features, usability and ‘fashion’ content they are used to getting in ‘designer’ clothing and accessories,” comments Geraldine. “Colour means fun, and by offering a wider choice we can give our customers a further way to complement their lifestyle and taste.”
