Q) Let's focus on now. Why did you decide to partner with SanDisk?

"It was a natural collaboration and a new way to distribute my music. When you're distributing CDs, you never know if the record shops are going to accept your music, but this way people have access to it in one place and everyone knows where to get it from.

"I think SanDisk approached me because my audience is so tech savvy and my music is so technically forward thinking. SanDisk's a worldwide company and it's amazing to get my music out to the whole world. Everyone has their cards in their phones and cameras so it's incredible to work with a company with that much influence. We're also making a new music video together which is allowing us to connect with the fans, who decide what the music video is going to look like."

Q) What is your favourite album to date?

"Kaleidoscope is my favourite, because it was so innovative for both my music and me. And it has helped me create a path for the future. For Tiesto 2.0!"

Q) The new release sounds quite different to your previous albums.  Why did you decide on a new direction and a dramatic departure from your old style?

"I just felt that it was time for a change. I don't like to do the same stuff over and over again and I felt that the first three albums, although different were going in the same direction. This album is the first step in the new direction. It made it into the iTunes top 10 album list and was popular because it wasn't just another dance album. Everyone who likes electronic music could find at least 7 songs on the album that they would like."

Q) Last September you kicked off the Kaleidoscope World Tour to promote the new album, was it an introduction to the new DJ Tiësto?

"It was the start of the new Tiësto. I was very nervous as I hadn't played the songs before to my audience but the songs grew on them quickly. And now when I play songs like Escape Me or I Will Be Here people go wild!"
