Hasbro’s old ultra-villain Cobra Commander says “Yes we shall” in a U-Tube video that mercilessly sends up the style and presentation of the Black Eyed Peas “Yes we can” video featuring US presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
“Absolute power! Total control of the world, its people, wealth, and resources – that's the objective of Cobra Commander,” read the character dossier shipped with the original action figure. “This fanatical leader rules with an iron fist. He demands total loyalty and allegiance.”
Hardly an apt description of earnest, mild-mannered Senator Obama, but that’s showbiz.
