Elan mentioned next day delivery and that's my biggest gripe with Scan's otherwise cracking service; it's simply not reliable enough, often leaving me to spend my money elsewhere when requiring something in a hurry. When placing an order online using another site, before their daily dispatch deadline, I'm almost certain of receiving it the next day; order on Monday and receive it on Tuesday. With Scan however, the customer is left hanging until they've received the stage 4 dispatch notice which, in my experience, isn't until the day after placing an order; order on Monday and receive it on Wednesday. What makes it worse is how often the estimated delivery date has been incorrect.
So for me, non-urgent orders I go through Scan, anything else and I shop elsewhere. It's a real shame and although it might seem like a minor gripe, I wonder how many orders they've lost to their competition as a result?
