Memory and single-threaded tests

For those of you who don't pay much attention to system specs., the Alienware Area-51 7500 and MESH PCs both use stock-clocked Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 CPUs (2.93GHz/266MHz FSB), the Vadim's watercooling pushes up its Core 2 Duo E6700 to 3.40GHz/340MHz FSB, and, finally, the SCAN system uses a standard AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 AM2 together with 2GiB of EPP memory. Phew.

AMD's CPUs always benchmark better with ScienceMark 2.0's bandwidth test.

Memory latency is impressive for all concerned.

The heavily overclocked Vadim Fusion simply eats up our single-threaded Pifast benchmark. The two Core 2 Extreme X6800-powered systems benchmark close together, and the graph shows how comparatively 'slow' the AM2 Athlon 64 FX-62 is.
