Benchmarks: CPU
The number-crunching PiFast benchmark is hugely dependant on maximum frequency, and the combination of Haswell's architectural enhancements and a modest 4.4GHz overclock are more than enough to deliver chart-topping single-thread performance.
The overclock is almost enough to make the four-thread Core i5-4670K a match for the eight-thread Core i7-3770K featured in the Computer Planet ND 4000.
Core i5-4670K at 4.4GHz is undoubtedly fast, and Scan's 3XS Z87 Performance GTX has the makings of a finely-tuned system. The CPU, GPU and SSD all combine to deliver almost 7,000 PCMarks.
