BIOS

The Foxconn NF4K8MC's BIOS has been designed with the micro-ATX form-factor in mind. There are no voltage options whatsoever, so enthusiasts will probably specify a high-speed CPU to begin with. Overclocking won't be one of the ISOTOPE's strongpoints, sadly. CPU frequency can be raised up to 250MHz, assuming the chipset and CPU are up to the job.

Memory timings see the usual amount of timing adjustment. SCAN uses premium Corsair XMS3200XL RAM that'll run at 2-2-2-5 1T @ DDR400.

Note the relatively high CPU temperature and fast-spinning chipset fan. However, there were no problems to report during testing at stock settings. The motherboard's BIOS is a serious letdown for the enthusiast looking to use the ISOTOPE with overclocking in mind.

Vroom!!
