Uniformity and Power Consumption
Colour uniformity
We typically consider a colour variance of less than five to be barely discernible. Huawei's MateView strays from that target in the bottom-right corner, but it would take a keen eye to notice the variance during regular use.
Luminance uniformity
Luminance uniformity might be easier to spot, with the review sample sample exceeding our 10 per cent preferred maximum on the top and sides.
Power consumption is about right for a bright screen of these proportions, though we did notice that the slim display can struggle to dissipate heat. At maximum brightness, the panel becomes warm to the touch to the extent that you can feel the heat when interacting with the touch-sensitive Smart Bar.
