Gamut and Colour Accuracy
100 per cent sRGB coverage is a given on most modern monitors. Testing against more challenging standards, we find the 55in Philips able to achieve 93 per cent DCI-P3 coverage. Fractionally below the advertised 95 per cent, but note that any score above 90 is deemed very good.
The days of poor out-the-box colour accuracy thankfully appear to be behind us. A Delta-E of less than two is considered good, and every monitor on show meets that target. With additional calibration we were able to further improve colour accuracy on the 55in Philips to 1.03.
