The results don't get much better with regards to brightness, black levels or contrast. This isn't a bad panel as such - wide viewing angles and a matte finish bode well for web browsing and general productivity tasks - but for £380 you'd be forgiven for expecting a little extra wow factor. That could have been achieved by a higher resolution, improved peak brightness or better contrast, but the EliteDisplay E243d is merely average on those fronts.
