Gamut and Colour Accuracy
We like to see non-photographic-optimised monitors offer full coverage of the sRGB gamut and at least 75 per cent of the AdobeRGB. Being able to display a wide range of colours is the first part of the puzzle, and we then examine how well the on-screen colours match-up with real life - a lower Delta-E is better, and any figure below two is considered very good.
The Philips 349X7FJEW is up to the task with regards to colour gamut, but falls just short of the desired mark in the colour-accuracy test.
