Presentation, Bundle and Manual

The GA-K8NXP-SLI comes in a large, fold-out box, the front of which can be seen below.

Fold out the box, and we find information on all the big selling points of the motherboard, as well as a small Perspex window allowing us to look in at the DPS PCB stored away. Inside each half of the packaging is a box, one containing the motherboard itself and the other the rest of the cables and extras. One of these boxes can handily be turned into a temporary computer case, for testing and the like - Or, perhaps, for people who've blown all their cash on this motherboard and two SLI'ed 6800 Ultras, and can't afford a case for their new purchases... Either way, it's a nice touch.

The amount of kit bundled with the GA-K8NXP-SLI is as comprehensive as the features of the motherboard itself, with everything amply covered in the cable department. In the box, you'll find eight Serial ATA cables, one for each port on the board, four Serial ATA power adapters/splitters (enough to power eight devices), a single ATA and floppy cable and back plate headers containing six USB 2.0 ports and two Firewire ports. Also included are a multitude of manuals, the DPS unit for the board, and an SLI connector for using two compatible NVIDIA GPUs.

And it doesn't end there - Gigabyte have also thought to include a PCI wireless LAN card, which supports the 802.11g standard.

Manual

The GA-K8NXP-SLI comes with a colour guide to installing your hardware, as well as a more comprehensive user guide and a manual detailing how to use the RAID 5 function of the Silicon Image Serial ATA controller. The driver disc includes all the drivers you need complete with an easy-to-use express install application, as well as other applications allowing for Windows-based overclocking and the like.
