Discussion

Motherboards with integrated graphics usually miss out on the wide range of options present in enthusiast boards. The EQS model, however, has all the basic items covered, including adjusting the asynchronous memory speed for the IGP. We'd like a bit more CPU juice and the ability to manually select the memory command rate, yet the EQS' BIOS can be considered reasonable for the target market.

Testing notes

The integrated graphics run with memory speed at an effective 500MHz when set to sync mode. Setting any other option would lead to a different speed shown in Windows XP. Further, increasing the memory speed made no tangible differences in 3D IGP performance, either. Something for EQS to look at, perhaps?
