Discussion

ASUS has persisted with modified AMI BIOSes for a while now and the latest incarnation is easy to use and lets you get into the granular settings easily.

The plethora of options means that being able to save a particular setting is a must. ASUS enables this with one of eight 'O.C. Profiles'.

Voltage and fan control is excellent and befits an enthusiast-class motherboard.

Tweak to your heart's delight.

Talking granular, ASUS has separate tweaking pages for the voltage, temperature and fan speeds.

But, as usual, the CPU temperature reads a little low in the BIOS.

And it naturally supports the very latest six-core Phenom II chips.
