Introduction

ABIT Fatal1ty AN8 SLI Motherboard

We took a look at ABIT's Fatal1ty AN8 nForce4 Ultra motherboard a short while back and were generally impressed with its performance and overclocking potential. The AN8, however, only supported a single x16 PCI-Express slot, so running a couple of GeForce 6xxx-series cards in SLI wasn't possible. ABIT, of course, had an SLI-capable S939 motherboard waiting in the wings, and that board is, unsurprisingly, the Fatality AN8 SLI.

Is it just a case of ABIT using the nForce4 SLI chipset and adding in a second x16 PCI-Express slot, or does the SLI version support features than the Fatal1ty AN8 does not? Let's find out as we take a closer look at the all-singing, all-lighting ABIT Fatal1ty AN8 SLI.
