Benchmarks: CPU

We begin by examining CPU performance and experience good results. In the single-threaded PiFast test, the Optimus VI's Core i7-4710MQ processor is able to hit 3.5GHz and holds its own against many laptops costing twice as much, if not more.

We see similar prowess in multi-threaded Cinebench and Handbrake tests. These demanding workloads stress all available CPU cores and the Optimus VI does well not to throttle back too quickly. The fan might be loud, but at least it's keeping the CPU running at top speeds.
