Cryptography and raytracing performance is better, on a clock-for-clock basis, on the new Yonah CPUs. Both benchmarks are largely single-threaded and won't really benefit from CPUs with multi-core designs, unless the test is run with other applications concurrently taking up processor resources.
The first of our multi-threaded suite, KribiBench, a 3D software rendering engine, shows marked improvement with the Centrino Duo T2500 CPU; almost twice a Pentium M 770's performance, in fact.
