Presentation, bundle, warranty

As you can see, the box is somewhat boxlike, so if you are an avid collector of large-ish boxes, then this one will fit right in to your suite.

Here's what's included inside:
Items User's Manual
Flatout - Full game
HIS Platinum Pack
S-Video cable
PowerDVD 7 2 ch. OEM
Drivers CD
2 x DVI to D-SUB dongles
HDTV-Out (Component) lead
CrossFire ribbon cable
Combined Composite and S-Video VIVO lead
IceQ fan expansion bracket
HIS case sticker

Unlike the other X1950 Pros we've seen, the HIS IceQ 3 bundle adds a game to the package. Normally we're against games being added to packages, because they inflate the price without giving much reward. Flatout doesn't prove to be the exception to the rule; it's an old game and, unfortunately, not a particularly good one. However if you don't have any games, which seems unlikely as the X1950 Pro is a gamer's card, then Flatout may keep you occupied for a couple of hours.

The rest of the bundle is similarly complete, although it does lack HIS' iTurbo overclock tools. HIS has gone to the lengths of adding a CrossFire cable, something that not all manufacturers do, and a range of leads for the TV-Out DIN socket, including RCA/Phono composite-video connectors on the VIVO cable. HIS even includes two DVI-to-DSUB converters, instead of the single plug that most manufacturers include.

Warranty considerations

HIS offers a two-year warranty, where the first year's cover is directly with the reseller and the second is with the manufacturer. A UK address is provided for the second year's cover.

The warranty is transferable if you sell the card on, but the warranty begins on the date the card was manufactured, not when the original owner bought it.
