Far Cry v1.33 performance

It's no surprise to see the Foxconn 8800 GTS 320MiB OC (580/1800) faster than a near-default ASUS GTS 640MiB (513/1600) at 1600x1200 4xAA 8xAF. What's interesting to note is that the performance difference reduces markedly at 1920x1200, suggesting that the framebuffer's limitations are being exposed. That's also true of the faster XFX 320MiB GTS card, too.

Excluding the GeForce 8800 GTX, the performance of all other cards is eerily similar. [advert]
