Native CrossFire and the connectors

The connector(s)

Sapphire ships a couple of these SLI bridge-like connectors in the package.

We have the ATI CrossFire connector on the left and a regular NVIDIA SLI bridge connector on the right. You can see that the CrossFire connector utilises a few extra pins.

Look at the connectors from the top and you'd postulate that they were laid out the other way around; they're not.

CrossFire

Look, ma, no silly external dongles!

Summary

Sapphire's been first off the block with a retail card and its pitching this model at the same price as its existing X1900 GT, so you should find it for around Ā£135 inc. VAT at most competitive e-tailers.
