GeCube X1300 XT 256MB GDDR3 Platinum Edition

Working alphabetically, let's start with GeCube's offering.

GeCube X1300 XT

Pretty in red. The card is a similar size to an X1600, which makes sense given its spec.

The layout on the rear of the board is extremely similar the X1600 sat to the left of this review. Note the unused holes in the PCB, through which a hefty cooler might be supported.

Such support isn't required for this relatively light cooler. It's all copper, but the fan has only two states of animation: on or off. No temperature control. It's a little noisy, but is unlikely to be noticed unless installed into a quiet fan cooled or watercooled system.

Closer inspection of the cooler reveals that thermal pads sit between it and the RAM chips of the card. GeCube's cooler draws heat from both GPU and memory, then... good stuff.

The backplane features two dual link DVI outputs, plus TV out, with s-video, composite and component support. No video input, but enough in the way of outputs to keep us happy.

Bundle

Box shot? Why, it'd be rude of us not to...

Say hi to Ruby.

In the bundle you will find a single DVI to VGA dongle (what, not two?), a driver CD, s-video/composite output cable and a quick installation guide. There's no sign of a component video cable, which is a let down.
