Presentation and Bundle

S3 go the girly route to presentation, presenting half the face of some poor lass as enticement. Nice eyes, though, eh? I'm a big fan of clear, easy-to-read box labelling, giving the consumer the best chance of getting what's right for them, and S3 push most of those buttons. Their Chromotion 3.0 video engine gets good box space with a 1080p HDTV logo, hinting at where S3 thinks the S27 will do well, outside of gaming use.

A lone DVI-to-VGA adaptor and the component YPbPr cable is all you get for connecting the S27 to display outputs. The software CD runs to a set of drivers, and the quick install guide and warranty information document are all that's left. Sparse, but fitting.

Performances now.
