Power consumption, temperature and noise

3D performance might be in line with a stock-clocked GeForce GTX 460, but power consumption clearly isn't. We attribute the KFA2 WHDI card's higher load to the added requirements of the built-in AMIMON transmitter chip.

Temperatures are kept well within reasonable limits for all of the sub-£150 cards in our comparison, and KFA2's GTX 460 WHDI proves to be a cool customer by keeping just below 60ºC under load.

Noise levels are good, too. The KFA2 GTX 460 WHDI is barely audible when idle, and it's only slightly louder than NVIDIA's reference design under load. And, of course, you won't be able to hear it if you're gaming from an adjacent room.
