Rendered at QHD or UHD resolutions and making use of DX12 technologies such as asynchronous compute, explicit multi-adapter and multi-threading, Time Spy is a modern 3DMark benchmark that hints at GPU potential in today's latest games.

MSI's on-paper speeds translate to chart-topping numbers. There's not a great deal in it - all RTX 3090s are closely matched - yet in our test platform the Gaming X Trio just about edges it through real-world frequencies ranging from 1,950MHz to 2,000MHz under full load. Despite the heightened speed, MSI's huge cooler is able to meet the 97 per cent minimum requirement in the Time Spy Extreme Stress Test.
